Our Mission : Programs
Ninety percent of food distributed by The Greater Boston Food Bank is redistributed through its member hunger-relief agencies. But GBFB also distributes food directly to those in need, efforts that are expanding to provide one meal a day to every hungry person in our community.

Kids Cafe Program
Provides nutritious, out-of-school meals to disadvantaged children in a partnership with local Boys & Girls Clubs.

Brown Bag Program
Provides supplemental groceries to seniors, ensuring they don’t miss meals and receive the nutritious food they need to stay healthy.

BackPack Program
Provides a pack of food to children to make sure they have enough food to eat when school meals are not available.

School-based Pantry
Provides food at convenient and safe school locations for children and families.

Mobile Market
Provides food for isolated communities and populations at high-risk of hunger.
