Home » What We Do
With the help of our supporters, GBFB acquires and distributes food that enables local pantries, soup kitchens, and other partners provide nutritious food.
GBFB distributes food and resources directly to those in need through direct service programs that serve our most vulnerable populations.
GBFB is focused on advancing policy that accelerates current food access programs that help alleviate the current hunger crisis while also supporting sustainable, root-cause policies that intersect with hunger-relief and advance equity.
Our goal is to have lasting impact on the health of the children, families and seniors we serve and to be a leader in providing sustained access to nutritious foods.
Supporting healthy lives and communities is a priority for GBFB. Our public health initiatives bridge hunger and health, connecting those in need with critical healthy food resources.
Through community partnerships, we work to bring people together to educate, advocate and inspire the public around all aspects of our food system.
GBFB is a founding partner of Hunger to Health Collaboratory, which works to build alliances with partners who believe that health begins with reliable access to nutritious food.
