Calls To Action:

  1. Call your State Representative and ask them to support $30 million in the FY22 budget for Massachusetts Emergency Food Assistance Program (MEFAP). We cannot meet the increased demand for food through fundraising and donated food alone.
  2. We’ve launched of a new state legislative campaign on college student hunger. Sen. Harriette Chandler, Rep. Andy Vargas, and Rep. Mindy Domb have filed “An Act establishing the Massachusetts Hunger-Free Campus Initiative (SD 1477 and HD 2969).” Will you consider signing on as a cosponsor? Read our fact sheet to learn more about the bill. The legislation would provide the necessary capacity, technical assistance, and funding that colleges need to tackle food insecurity on their campuses.
