Hunger Free HolidaysOur Hunger Free Holidays campaign raises awareness and funds during the holiday season for the 1 in 8 who is food insecure. Your participation will help individuals and families by providing them with a meal to enjoy with family, friends and loved ones this holiday season. A $25 donation will provide a healthy holiday meal for a family in need.

Between October 1 and December 31, GBFB plans to distribute 20 million meals across the 190 cities and towns of Eastern Massachusetts. This will include holiday meals with all the fixings, as well as everyday healthy meals that feed children, seniors, veterans that may otherwise go without. With your support, we can make it a Hunger Free Holiday season.

November 19: Chain of Giving

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our virtual Chain of Giving event! If you were unable to attend, view the event at the link below.

The 15th Annual Chain of Giving event is our special tradition to kick off the season of giving. Each year, we have invited our partners, supporters and elected officials to form a physical human chain to unload the first holiday turkeys into our building. This year, we are transforming our in-person event into a lively virtual experience to kick off a Hunger Free Holiday season.

DETAILS: Thursday, November 19, 2020. The virtual experience will open to attendees at 10:30 a.m. with the live event beginning at 11 a.m. (30-minute event).

This year’s virtual Chain of Giving will be hosted by Jenny Johnson of NESN’s Dining Playbook and will include appearances by Governor Charlie Baker and Mayor Marty Wash, information on our Hunger Free Holidays campaign, a virtual passing of the turkey, holiday moments, and more. You won’t want to miss this signature holiday event!
