Help us make it a Hunger Free Holiday. Here are ways to get involved:
Our Hunger Free Holidays campaign raises awareness and funds during the holiday season for the 1 in 8 who is food insecure. Your participation will help individuals and families by providing them with a meal to enjoy with family, friends and loved ones this holiday season. A $25 donation will provide a healthy holiday meal for a family in need.
Between October 1 and December 31, GBFB plans to distribute 20 million meals across the 190 cities and towns of Eastern Massachusetts. This will include holiday meals with all the fixings, as well as everyday healthy meals that feed children, seniors, veterans that may otherwise go without. With your support, we can make it a Hunger Free Holiday season.
October 13: Hunger Free Holiday Peer-to-Peer Kickoff
Gather your colleagues, friends, and/or family to create an online fundraising team. Check out our Hunger Free Holidays Peer-to-Peer fundraising toolkit for resources and tips to help you make your fundraiser a success!
November 19: Chain of Giving
The 15th Annual Chain of Giving event is our special tradition to kick off the season of giving. Each year, we have invited our partners, supporters and elected officials to form a physical human chain to unload the first holiday turkeys into our building. This year, we are transforming our in-person event into a lively virtual experience to kick off a Hunger Free Holiday season.
Save the date for this signature holiday event that you won’t want to miss: Thursday, November 19, 2020 | Time to be announced (30-minute event).
December 1: Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global movement to encourage people to give back to and raise awareness of issues in their communities.
