Director of Development
Accounts Payable Associate - Part Time
The Accounts Payable Associate ensures the Accounts Payables of the Greater Boston Food Bank and related entities’ are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner.
Donor Services Assistant
The Donor Services Assistant is responsible for processing, recording, acknowledging, and reporting all types of charitable gifts including donations, matches, tributes, pledges, in-kind support and event revenue under the guidance of the Donor Services Senior Associate.
Warehouse Associate
GBFB Warehouse Associates are responsible for safely performing material handling functions in all areas of our warehouse. As a Warehouse Associate you will have extensive contact with all GBFB Team members, as well as Agency, Donor, and Supplier representatives. Each GBFB Associate is fully responsible for safety, cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Cycle Counter
Our cycle counting program is focused on finding the root cause of errors, making appropriate changes to our business processes, and training / re-training people, so errors do not reoccur. The Cycle Counter is responsible for independent verification of our inventory accuracy and for serving as an on-the-floor watchful eye regarding warehouse procedures, cleanliness, safety, and food safety. You must be highly motivated and have a strong sense of urgency, bringing solutions – not problems, and be professionally skeptical.
Director of Marketing Communications
The Greater Boston Food Bank is currently embarking on a new branding campaign, including a website redesign. The Director of Marketing Communications will have primary responsibility for brand positioning and messaging in order to increase visibility, awareness and support of The Greater Boston Food Bank.
The Director will oversee all press relations, government relations, strategic partnerships, advertising, collateral, communications, cause-related marketing, the website, all e-communications and social media. The Director will oversee a staff of four, and responsibilities will include: budget management, corporate standards, internal and external communications, multi-media planning, promotions and event marketing, staff management along with relationship management with media partners.
Events Assistant
Working closely with the Events Manager, the Events Assistant develops, coordinates and applies flawless logistic action plans for all GBFB donor/constituent events. Additionally, s/he directs in-kind solicitations, provides administrative support, maintains up-to-date event databases and is the liaison between GBFB and external third parties.
The Events Assistant is an entry level position that will enable an individual interested in working in fundraising events and development an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Medical and Dental
The Greater Boston Food Bank provides medical and dental coverage to all full-time and part-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours a week and their dependents effective upon hire date.
Life Insurance
The Greater Boston Food Bank provides, at no cost, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
Domestic Partner Insurance
The Greater Boston Food Bank offers domestic partner benefits.
Employer Paid Short Term Disability
At no cost to the employee, short-term disability coverage is provided and will replace income up to 60%.
Employer Paid Long Term Disability
Long-term disability coverage provided at no cost to eligible employees. The benefit pays 60% of base salary should an employee become totally disabled for more than 13 weeks.
Flexible Spending Accounts

The normal business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Based on business need and supervisory approval, Flexible Work Schedules are available.
