Volunteers at The Greater Boston Food Bank play a critical role in helping to end hunger. Now, more than ever, we need your support to help us sort and package food for distribution to hungry families across Eastern Massachusetts.
Groups who volunteer receive an educational, team-building experience while sorting and packing food for those in need.
The Kids Who Care (KWC) program is a special volunteer opportunity that allows children as young as 10 years old to volunteer alongside family and friends, repackaging food for children, seniors, and families in need across Eastern Massachusetts.
KWC volunteer groups of 10-25 people (including chaperones) pack food for some of our most vulnerable populations, helping GBFB provide healthy meals for those who need it most.
Due to the size of our Family Friendly Room, group sizes can be no larger than 25 people (including chaperones). To ensure projects are completed, groups must have at least 10 volunteers. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate group sizes larger or smaller than this range, and we cannot allow any volunteers under 10 years of age.
