5th Annual Day of Giving

Thank you to everyone who tuned in to learn more about our mission to #EndHungerHere and thank you to those who graciously donated to feed our neighbors. Thanks to you, we were able to provide nearly 600,000 nutritious meals to our neighbors in need!

A special thank you to our official media partner, WCVB, for their continued partnership on our Annual Day of Giving. Thanks to this important collaboration, the volunteers who staffed the phones, and all the individual and corporate donations, our 5th Annual WCVB Day of Giving fundraising event was our most successful to date.

On Wednesday, September 20 WCVB Channel 5 hosted the 5th Annual Day of Giving fundraiser to support GBFB’s mission to End Hunger Here. The event is a hallmark of September’s Hunger Action Month—the Feeding America network’s annual nationwide campaign designed to inspire people to take action and raise awareness about hunger. This day-long event began with the NewsCenter 5 Eyeopener newscast and continued with live reports and updates throughout the day. Viewers had the opportunity to see inspiring stories about how GBFB and its community partners are meeting the need and the positive impact on lives of their neighbors.
