GBFB Co-Hosts Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor’s Forum

Published on August 26, 2022

Last week, GBFB co-hosted a virtual Lieutenant Governor’s forum on food insecurity with Project Bread and the Food Bank Coalition of Massachusetts, including The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Worcester County Food Bank, and Merrimack Valley Food Bank.

Three of the five candidates running for Lieutenant Governor joined the panel: Mayor Kim Driscoll, Representative Tami Gouveia, and Senator Eric Lesser. Each expressed their position on food access policies and initiatives that will work to end hunger statewide.

“I am confident that no matter who wins this office, we will have a Lt. Gov. who understands and will fight to eliminate food insecurity in our Commonwealth,” reflected Catherine D’Amato, GBFB President and CEO.

Massachusetts will hold its Primary Election on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, and its General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
