Whole Foods Market Campaign a Success!

Published on October 23, 2020

Every Action Counts

As a part of this year’s Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign that raises awareness of hunger in our communities, The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) teamed up with Whole Foods Market to offer people a simple and free way to support our food insecure neighbors.

Throughout the month of September, we encouraged others to visit our official Click 2 Give website page through emails, social media posts, and signage at local Whole Foods Market stores. With each click to the page, Whole Foods Market committed to donating 45 healthy meals to GBFB.

Thousands of clicks later, with numbers surpassing our initial estimates by more than 60%, and the campaign raised $50,000 for our neighbors struggling with hunger across Eastern Massachusetts–that’s the equivalent of 150,000 meals!

“Our collaboration with The Greater Boston Food Bank gives us another tool to continue caring for our communities,” said Jean-Philippe Scioville, Senior In-Store & Local Marketing Specialist at Whole Foods Market. “Through the Click 2 Give campaign, we are able to work together to give back to those impacted by food insecurity.”

Thank you to all those who took action this Hunger Action Month. Your clicks helped to provide our hungry neighbors with healthy meals that they’d otherwise go without.
