MA Legislature’s Conference Committee Debates MEFAP Funding

Published on June 7, 2018

The Massachusetts Legislature’s Conference Committee (a select group of three senators and three representatives) will debate and vote on final recommendations for the FY19 budget. We need your immediate help to ensure MEFAP is funded at $18 million.

This funding increase will allow the Commonwealth’s four food banks to provide almost 23 million healthy meals. More hungry children, seniors, and families will have access to nutritious food thanks to your advocacy.

TAKE ACTION:
Contact members of the Conference Committee and ask them to maintain the Senate’s MEFAP funding at $18 million in the final FY19 budget.

You can also call your state senator and representative and ask them to urge the Conference Committee to support MEFAP at $18 million.
