Thanks to his innovations that improve our warehouse efficiency and save money, Monir, our Inventory Control Assistant Manager, is the Team GBFB Member of the Quarter! The Team GBFB Member of the Quarter, nominated by his or her peers, brings forward creative and innovative suggestions that improve how GBFB meets its mission to End Hunger Here.
Monir was nominated for being the “epitome of a team player” by making innovations in the warehouse inventory processes and coaching his fellow team members. At GBFB, we strive to make our processes even more efficient so we can help more people in need.
Monir constantly seeks ways to do this by carefully monitoring how he and his team members are doing their day to day warehouse inventory work, identifying areas for improvement and then researching and testing process adjustments to recommend a new (even more efficient) solution. He contributes to creating a positive warehouse work culture by observing, gathering feedback, coaching and training. And, celebrating the team successes of operating as efficiently as possible!
Recently, Monir identified a solution for the boxes used in our warehouse that are used over and over to sort, pick and ship various food products. Keeping track of them as they move around, in and out of our warehouse has been challenging. Monir observed the process and instituted an improved work flow for keeping track of the boxes. Since his new process was implemented, we reduced the need to purchase as many boxes, as we can better manage where they are and where they need to be at any given time. That saves time and money, allowing us to devote more resources to providing more nutritious food to those in need.
Monir’s team spirit, ideas and work are deeply appreciated at GBFB! He is always focused on working as efficiently as possible so we can focus on getting more healthy food into communities in need. Thank you and congratulations, Monir!
