Legal Food Frenzy provides over 182,000 meals!

Legal Food Frenzy Throughout September (Hunger Action Month), our local legal industry came together to hold the 6th Annual Legal Food Frenzy to raise money and food for The Greater Boston Food Bank. Participants held fundraisers at their offices – many of which were very creative! – and also tapped into their social networks.   Collectively, they raised enough to provide more than 182,000 meals to families and individuals in need! All the food and funds collected will serve GBFB’s 550 member agencies in 190 cities and towns across Eastern Massachusetts.

Cooley LLP was this year’s winning firm, raising enough to provide 60,412 meals! Their dedicated staff and attorneys raised money through friendly team competitions and events such as a live auction, a pie throwing content and a sumo wrestling competition!   Todd & Weld, which earned “Most Raised Overall” in the Small Firm category (18,250 meals!), also showed off their creativity, raising funds with a silent auction of contributed items from employees and vendors, tickets sold for casual dress days, a day-off-from-work raffle, and a “laugh in” center complete with knock-knock jokes.   All of the firms that participated are crucial in GBFB’s fight to end hunger here. We have a list of all participants, as well as all prize winners, at Thank you all!
