Creating a Legacy: Senior Hunger Initiative

GBFB’s Legacy Society allows supporters to leave a legacy to GBFB by designating a gift through one’s estate.

A legacy gift has a measurable impact, as it provides the funding for endowments or special initiatives that advance our mission to End hunger here. The Legacy Society honors donors who have committed to making a lasting difference for GBFB.

A lasting benefit for seniors in need

Last year, we honored Roberta Thall for her decades of commitment to helping those in need in our community. The Sayde C. Thall and Abraham Thall Memorial Fund has provided funding to our Senior Hunger Initiative, helping to feed seniors across Eastern Massachusetts.

Larry and Lois Ruttman have joined Roberta in funding the Senior Hunger Initiative with their Legacy Society gift. Larry and Lois know that seniors can contribute to society in their later years if they are healthy and active. We hope that these gifts are the start of an initiative that will feed seniors far into the future.
