Perishables

In partnership with the Boston Housing Authority, The Food Bank's Perishables program allows us to offer fresh dairy, produce, and other perishable items that become available on short notice, to low- and moderate-income seniors, families, and disabled individuals. We currently serve 30 sites on a monthly basis.

Residents of subsidized housing benefit from the regularly scheduled delivery of perishable foods like yogurt, bread, juice and milk that they might not otherwise be able to afford. These visits offer the people who are most in need—people who may not able to leave their homes—high quality food.
