The Food Bank sees the nutritional value of the foods we deliver as key to our work. Our Nutrition staff develops guidelines to ensure that we meet nutrition standards and quality food goals; healthy food for kids, for seniors, foods that are nutritious and also respect ethnic preferences. In fact, we are among the first in the country to institute a revolutionary Index of Nutrition Quality (INQ) system to ensure that 65% of our inventory meets the highest nutritional guidelines.
