Red Sox Wives Cash and Can Drive

The Boston Red Sox and their families are among The Food Bank's biggest boosters. Every summer for the last 16 years, the Red Sox Wives have held their annual Can & Cash Drive.

During the Can & Cash Drive, Red Sox Wives Karen Varitek, Tiffany Ortiz, Dawn Timlin, Shonda Schilling, and others greet fans at Fenway Park, accepting contributions of ten non-perishable food items or $10 in exchange for an autographed photo of a Red Sox player.

In total, this summer tradition has raised more than $170,000 in cash donations and collected more than 145,000 pounds of food. This summer, Red Sox fans donated more than 6,000 pounds of food and $27,875 in donations in just two days.
