Battle of the Burger

Published on August 14, 2015

Battle of the Burger Team GBFB was back at Boston Magazine’s infamous Battle of the Burger event this week and honored as one of their nonprofit partners. GBFB team members joined the Boston Magazine team and local chefs to eat burgers, raise awareness, sell raffle tickets and take silent auction bids to benefit GBFB.
We raffled off a Floridian Tabletop Grill donated by Kenyon, and $200 in gift cards to City Table in the Back Bay and Anthem in Faneuil Hall, both donated by The Briar Group. Part of the silent auction was a round of golf for four at New Seabury on Cape Cod, The Delta Fixie bike by Pure Fix donated by IdeaPaint, a Bucket of Booze, and a Davio’s Chef Tasting.
The night was filled with music, drinks and A LOT of burgers. Blue Ox, the reigning champion now for the third year in a row, took home the title of Best Burger. At the end of the night, GBFB raised enough funds to provide 7,920 healthy meals for those in need!
At GBFB, we are always grateful for the support of local outlets and the food community. We all share the same passion: feeding people. And, coming together to spread awareness about hunger and to help feed those in need is an amazing experience. We hope to see many of the new restaurants and foodies we met at our Super Hunger Brunch in January.
Thank you to Boston Magazine for partnering with us on this fabulous event and to all Battle of the Burger attendees for their generous support. Together, we can end hunger here.
