Bank of America has been a valued partner of The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) for more than 25 years. They provide consistent financial and volunteer support for our programs and operations and are currently a member of GBFB’s Leadership Circle for high-level donors.

In December 2012, Bank of America Charitable Foundation provided a grant to sponsor all mobile markets for veterans and community college students, helping to ensure that GBFB can continue to support these high risk populations throughout 2013. These distributions reach hundreds of individuals and families in need each month with fresh and healthy food.

During the past twelve months, more than 200 Bank of America employees have volunteered over 500 hours of time to sort 83,000 pounds of donated food, enough for 195,000 meals. During this time they also packed 1,000 BackPacks for children in need and 600 Brown Bags for seniors in need.

In addition to valuable contributions of time and support, Bank of America leadership has demonstrated a strong commitment to GBFB. In 2012, Bob Gallery, Bank of America Massachusetts President, and Kerry Sullivan, President, Bank of America Charitable Foundation, chaired the annual Greater Boston Food Banquet, raising nearly $1 million to help feed community members at risk of hunger. We are truly grateful for their partnership.
