Hunger Update

September 2008 Needs Assessment Survey

In September, The Greater Boston Food Bank conducted a survey of its member food pantries and soup kitchens to assess the need for emergency food assistance in eastern Massachusetts. The survey reveals disquieting results, showing that the region's hunger-relief organizations are struggling with the burdens of increased client loads and fewer donations, among other challenges.
